Education in the 1920's

We could only find three people to interview who were teenagers in the 1920's. One of them didn't go to school, she started working at a very early age as a servant in a rich family house. Another one went to a rural school and the last one went to a girls only school. The two that went to school wore a uniform. They only went for four hours a day. They all said that they were hit if they did something bad. They all eat at home and they went to religious schools. They had to go to church every week even if they were sick.

Education in the 1930's

Education between the 1930 and the 1939 was very important and that's why teachers were very strict. Most of the students had respect towards their teachers, and very few of them got in trouble.

Most of the schools were of nuns and very few were mixed, so if you were a girl you went to a school of only girls, and if you were a boy you went to a school of only boys.

Holidays were at: Christmas, summer, Easter like we have now. The only difference was that they had to go to school on Saturday too.

The most hated subjects were maths and history, and some schools wore uniforms and some didn't.

Most of the students didn’t go to university, they just began working when they finished school.
