1. Svet sníval, že príde kráľ
a knieža, čo získa trón,
ten pocit ho dávno hrial
a pomáhal kráčať tmou.

Len niekoľko rôčkov, niekoľko zím,
čo na čele s kráľom izraelským,
si sen nocou získa, premôže Rím,
ten sen mu bol nádejou.

Tak úžasne málo od Boha chcel,
tak príšerne nízko hľadal svoj cieľ,
že hoci sa díval neuvidel
a naďalej kráčal tmou.

2. Svet sníva sny prízemné,
chce vládu a víťazstvá,
len málokto z Písma vie,
že Boh iný spôsob má.

On vybral si dievča nazaretské,
on vybral si miesto v poli a v tme,
on vybral si plienky, zvieratká dve
a musia mu zúbky rásť.

Až dodnes sa skrýva ako už vieš,
len v kráľovstve lásky
môžeš s ním jesť,
len v kráľovstve pravdy
nájdeš ho aj dnes,
len deti ho môžu nájsť.

BALLAD

1. The World dreamed, that the king
will come and the prince,
who will gain the throne,
this feeling made him warm
and helped him to walk in the dark.
Only some steps, some winters,
when the king of Israel
made this dream real,
to overcome Rome,
this dream was his hope.
He wanted so little from God
he was seeking his goal very low,
though he watched he didn´t see
and went on in the dark.

wants rule and victories
only a few from the Bible know,
that God does it in other way.
He has choosen a girl from Nazareth
he has choosen a place
in the field and dark
he has choosen napkins
and animals two
and his tooth must grow.
You know he is hidden
only in the kingdom of love
you can find him today
only in the kingdom of love
you can eat with him
only children can find him.
