CHRISTMAS PRESENTS

Christmas is the most beautiful holiday of the year. It has a special charm. Peace, love, white snow, various traditional habits, Christmas carols and glamorous Midnight Mass participates on its joy, too. At this time people are very kind and human to each other. But it is very sad, thad some people forget Jesus Christīs birthday and spirit of Christmas. Nowadays when somebody asks someone: "What does Christmas mean for you?" Everybody says: "Christmas is a lot of presents."

The birth of Jesus Christ was the first and greatest Christmas present for people in this world. The three kings came to Jesus with 3 presents: gold, incense, mirha. From this time itīs a custom to give presents to each other.

In the history the presents werenīt given to each other very often. For example: it used to be only a big red apple or nut. Children used to carve some beautiful nice things from wood for example horse, angel which they painted and so they were happy. Today Christmas for someone means only presents. People give to each other very expensive things such as car. Giving presents would be O.K., if people donīt forget the meaning of Christmas. Itīs very nice when people give presents to each other from love. It doesnīt have to be very expensive, it could be a small modest presents but it is important that is given with love and not from obligation.

Everybody enjoys Christmas presents especially children. When they find some nice presents under Christmas tree, they look so happy that you can see a glint in their eyes. Majority of families are in bad financial situation, thatīs why they give to each other only necessary things. The presents are wrap up in suitable packing. Everyone buys present acording to his, or her possibilities.
