On Saturday 16th May, I made my First Communion at .St. Patrick's Church, Kilsyth and met Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time. I felt like a new man!
When I got in I blessed myself then I showed my mum and dad to their seat and before we sat down we genuflected. The priest started the Mass by talking to everyone. During the Mass I said a reading on the altar and when I finished it , my mum said I was good. We sang the hymns we'd practiced. We sang the last hymn on the altar and when we finished it everyone gave us a big clap. Our class then went into the church hall to get our picture taken and have our communion breakfast. We got 'Jelly tots',a biscuit,a drink of juice and a cake.
When I came out of the hall I went to see my grandpa. He couldn't come to my communion because he wasn't well. After that we had a party at my house and when my big cousin Amanda was finished her meal she lifted me up like a bride. After the party had finished we had to tidy up and hoover. I had a great time!
