1. Ziekenhuis of thuis bevallen.

Als je zwanger bent kan je kiezen of je thuis bevalt of in het ziekenhuis.Als de gyneacoloog zegt dat het beter is als je het ziekenhuis moet bevallen wegens omstandigheden.

2. Kraamverzorging

Na de geboorte komt er een kraamverzorger of kraamverzorgster thuis om voor het kind en moeder te zorgen, en om het huishouden te doen.

3. Inschrijven bij de burgelijke stand.

Vier dagen na de geboorte moet een van de personen die bij de bevalling aanwezig was, moet die persoon naar het gemeentehuis om aangifte te doen. Om de naam van de baby te registreren. 

4. Geboortekaartjes.

Als het kind geboren is stuur je de familie en vrienden een kaartje dat de baby is geboren. Op het kaartje staat de naam van het kind, het gewicht en moeder en kind rusten.

  1. Kraambezoek .


    2. Paar dagen na de geboorte, kunnen familieleden en kenissen op bezoek gaan om naar de baby. Ze nemen vaak cadeautjes mee voor de baby. Zoals kleertjes, knuffeltje of schoentjes.

  2. Beschuit met muisjes.
Als de vistie er is, krijgen ze beschuit met muisjes. Muisjes zijn kleine komijne-zaadjes met een gekleurd laagje suiker er omheen. Als het een jongetje is zijn de muisjes blauw en wit. En bij een meisje roze met witte muisjes.

If you are pregnant you can decide if you give birth  at home or in the hospital. But if the dokter says that it's better to have birth in the hospital. You do that.

2. Maternity-nurse.

After the birth is coming a nurse to take care of you and the baby. He or she takes care of  the mother the baby and will help in housekeeping.

3. Registration.

Tree days after the birth you to go to the community. The name of the baby is gonna be registered.

4. Birthcard.

When the baby is born, you send a card. From the baby. You send it to family and friends.On the card is the name of the child, its weight and its lenght. And when th emother and the child are resting.

5.Lying-in visit.

A few days after the birth, family and friends come to see the baby. They take littlel presents for the baby, such as clothes, toy-animals and shoes.

6. Biscuit with mice.

If the visit is there. Then they get biscuit with mice. Mice are littel cummin-seeds with a thin layer of sugar.

When it's a boy the mice are blue and  white. And when it's a girl then the mice are rose and white.
