On the 25th of December, people celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Christian people go to
Midnight mass on Christmas eve and sing carols together.
Houses are decorated with
christmas trees and on christmas eve, children put their shoes buy the tree or next to
the fire-place. legend has it that during the night, Father Christmas comes through the
fireplace and puts loads of presents in the shoes of the children who have been good and
obedient all year.
In fact everybody gets all kinds of lovely gifts and the whole
family meets for a HUGE Christmas dinner...
